Jussi Syren and The Groundbreakers is one of the few true working bluegrass groups outside of the United States. Besides having a heavy touring schedule in their native Finland, The Groundbreakers have performed in United States, Sweden, Denmark and Holland. Their recordings have got great reviews in music media worldwide. Their latest release "Sea Of Changes" have got airplay in United States, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark and Norway and the list goes on...The band calls its music "Bluegrass with overdrive" - incompromising, hard edged music. The trademark elements of the bands unique sound is Syrens gritty singing and Tauri Oksalas bluesy banjo along with the rock solid rhythm work of guitarist J.P. Putkonen and bassist Kari Hella

COME BACK FOR ANOTHER OF THEIR SPECIAL APPEARANCES @ OUR INDOOR VENUE
Kruger Brothers, a bluegrass and folk music trio that first played at Rudy's
some 4 plus years ago now, will return again this year Jan. 2, 2009 for the last 4 years The Krugers have started the new year
by playing a show here on the First Friday of the New Year and were a welcome addition to our Autumn Fest this year
2007 and will be back in 2009 to help us celebrate 12 years of bring the Best in Bluegrass Entertainment to
the Upstate of South Carolina, The Kruger Brothers first made their way
to Anderson's "Bluegrass in the Woods" July 3 2004. The group consists of brothers Uwe Kruger and Jens Kruger,
and bassist Joel Landsberg. The group formed in Switzerland, where the brothers lived.
The Krugers had played professionally since 1973 and Joel joined them as they toured Europe in the early
days They started to tour in the United States in 1997 and now
tour across the country, driving to over a couple hundred shows each year
from their home base in Wilkesboro, N.C. The group plays a variety of folk, acoustic and bluegrass
music. Uwe Kruger plays guitar and Jens Kruger plays banjo. The Kruger Brothers concerts are very spontaneous and
tailored to each audience and we here at Rudy's appreciate the Kruger Brothers for
being an important part of Bluegrass in the Wood's Family over the
past years, It is here that Jens has introduced his special talents and broad
attributes of the musical world. Over the past two years, in collaboration with the
Bangor Symphony Orchestra, Jens Kruger worked to orchestrate his original
compositions "Music from the Spring" as well as music from the Kruger Brothers. Excerpts from
this concert program were performed here in part as the second set begins for the last couple of couple of
years, always a crowd pleaser don's miss this years show the shows have been such a success and due to limited
space in our indoor venue, make sure to buy tickets early as this show is in our indoor venue located on Byron
circle the seating is general admission and not a bad seat in
